The evergreen fronds are matt, bright green, bipinnate and lanceolate. They form a flared clump. Pinnae are tight and covered with a fine down. Stipe and rachis are densely covered with broad, light-brown scales. The young fronds appear early in spring, forming a distinctive drooping tip, before unfurling completely. This is an easy-to-grow species, in a humusy, moist soil, acidic or alkaline, in the shade, protected from late frost. Height : 60/90cm. Hardiness : -25°C.
