Epiphytic fern and epilith with fine, creeping, and scaly rhizomes with a diameter of 2 to 3 mm. In its natural environment it grows on limestone rocks or in the herbaceous layer of high-altitude forests. Monoformic persistent fronds, entire, thick and leathery, dark green with black stripes on the veins. Special feature: the buds intended to survive spend the bad season buried in the ground (tropophytic plant). This beautiful slow-growing fern should be installed in light shade in the garden in a protected area in a draining substrate. Hardiness -6C°, height 20 to 30 cm high. Origin China (Guangxi, Guizhou and Sichuan).
